Terms & Privacy
The same text you agree to in the app. Plain English — if anything is unclear, email hello@rallii.net.
Terms of use
Last updated 25 September 2026
These terms cover what Rallii is, what it is not, and what we each agree to. Rallii is a noticeboard for games organised by players — not a club, a league, a venue or an insurer. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the community conditions, which form part of them.
Who we are
Rallii is run by Kanav S., a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@rallii.net for help, safety@rallii.net about anything unsafe, payments@rallii.net about money, and privacy@rallii.net about your data. Postal address: 86 High Street, Cradley Heath, B64 5HA.
Who can use Rallii
You must be 16 or over. The date of birth you give when you sign up is checked against that, and an account that would be under 16 is refused — but we cannot confirm the date is true, so it rests on your honesty, and giving a false date of birth breaks these terms. You must be 18 or over to host a game. Keep to one account per person, keep your details accurate, and keep access to your email address to yourself: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
Games are run by players, not by us
Every game on Rallii is created and run by another user. Hosts are independent — they are not our employees or agents, and we do not organise, supervise, referee, vet, coach or insure any game, check any venue, or check anyone’s qualifications. You take part at your own risk and you are responsible for your own fitness, health, equipment and safety. If a game, a venue or a person feels wrong when you arrive, leave — nothing here obliges you to stay.
Who can play in a game
A host can limit a game to an age range — a set range or one they choose, never younger than 16 — and can make a game men-only or women-only. Both are shown on the game before you join, and the app refuses a join from outside them, using the date of birth and gender you gave us. A host is responsible for making sure any restriction they set is lawful and genuinely needed for the game; if one looks like it is being used to exclude somebody unfairly, report it. Separately, Rallii does not open private one-to-one conversations between an adult and a player under 18. They can still play in the same games and talk in the game chat, where everyone in the game can see what is said.
Attendance
Turning up when you say you will is the point of the service. After a game the host marks who arrived, and your attendance score is the share of marked games you turned up to. It is shown on your profile. If you cannot make it, open the game and tap Leave: you are then removed from it and cannot be marked absent. If a mark is wrong, tell us at support@rallii.net and we can correct it.
Costs paid in person
Where a game shows a cost note rather than a price, the host sets and collects that money in person. Rallii is not involved, takes no cut, and cannot resolve disputes about who paid what. Check the cost line before you join.
Paying through the app
Some games charge to join. The host sets the price, and Rallii adds a booking fee of 20% of the host’s price (minimum £1) on top. The price you are shown already includes the fee, so there is nothing extra at checkout, and the split is shown before you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe, our payment provider — card details go to Stripe and never to Rallii. Your agreement to play in the game is with the host; Rallii's booking fee is our charge for the booking service. The host appoints Rallii as their limited agent to collect payment on their behalf, so once you have paid through the app you have paid the host. The host's share goes to the host's own Stripe account but is not paid out to their bank until the game has been played.
Refunds
Changing your mind does not get your money back: a game is a leisure activity at a set place and time, so there is no 14-day cooling-off period, and the host has turned other people away from the place you took. The rule is: leave more than 24 hours before kick-off and you are refunded in full; leave inside 24 hours, or do not turn up, and you are not refunded automatically — but if somebody else takes your place before kick-off, you are refunded then. What always gets your money back is the game not happening. If the host cancels, everyone who paid is refunded automatically and in full, booking fee included. If a game you paid for does not go ahead, open it in the app afterwards and tell us within a week of kick-off: the host is not paid while that is open. Where several players say the same, Rallii may decide automatically — using how many players complained, whether there is any record of the game taking place, and the host’s recent record — and you can ask a person to look at that decision by writing to payments@rallii.net within 30 days. If the host moves the time or the venue of a game you paid for, you can take a full refund with one tap. If two people pay for the last place at the same moment, whoever misses out is refunded straight away. We may also refund a payment ourselves where we think it is fair. Refunds go back to the card you paid with and usually arrive within 5–10 working days. A game that went ahead but was not what you hoped is not a refund — leave a review instead. None of this affects your legal rights.
Chargebacks
If something went wrong, ask us first at payments@rallii.net — it is quicker than your bank. Disputing a payment with your bank for a game you did play in, or a place you left inside the 24 hours, is a breach of these terms and can lead to your account being suspended.
If you host a game
You are responsible for the game you post: having permission to use the venue, the booking and its cost, running the game safely, any insurance you or the venue need, any qualification needed for what you offer (for example coaching or personal training), keeping to the law, and any tax due on what you earn. To charge for a game you must complete Stripe’s onboarding, where your identity and bank details are checked, and you agree to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement. You can edit a game you host at any time, and everyone in it is told what changed. You can cancel it: everyone is told immediately, it cannot be undone, and if anybody paid they are all refunded in full and you are not paid for that game. Money from a paid game reaches you only after the game has been played — usually about a day after kick-off, or three days if nothing in the app shows you were there, so tapping “I’m here” at the game is the quickest way to get paid — and not while players are saying it did not happen. Not turning up to a game you were paid to run means the players are refunded, and it goes on your record: doing it repeatedly can cost you your account. Cancelling early counts against you in no way. You can post a possible game before you have booked anything — nobody pays and you can change anything about it until you confirm it. Once confirmed, the price is fixed, and moving the time or venue lets everyone who paid take a full refund. If a bank reverses a payment because a game you were paid for did not happen as described, we may hold or recover the amount from what you are owed.
Your host wallet
Money you earn sits in your own Stripe account, not with Rallii, and the Wallet screen shows it. Moving it to your bank by standard transfer is free; an instant transfer costs the fee shown before you confirm. If you stop using Rallii with money in your wallet, after 90 days we send it to your bank automatically. We never take money you have earned.
Featured listings
If we offer featured listings, hosts can pay to pin a game to the top of Discover for 48 hours. Featured games are labelled as featured wherever they appear. The fee is not refundable once the listing is live, unless we fail to show it.
Communities, clubs and competitions
Sport communities are open group chats for a sport in an area — anyone signed in can join one and read what is posted there. Clubs are groups a player runs for regulars; they are for adults only, and the person who runs a club decides who joins. Ladders (adults only) and knockout tournaments are organised by players, not by us: results are reported by the players or the organiser, and we do not referee them. None of these changes who is responsible for a game — the host still is.
Inviting friends
You can invite people with your own invite link. Somebody who joins with it gets their first booking fee free, and once they have played a game you get a free booking fee too (up to 20 in total). Free booking fees have no cash value, cannot be swapped for money, and are used automatically on your next paid game. We can withdraw them if invites are faked or abused.
Content you post
You keep ownership of what you write and the photos you add. You give us permission to show them inside the app to the people they are meant for, and to keep and review it where we need to — for example to deal with a report. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share, anything unlawful, or anything that breaks the community conditions.
What we can do to keep Rallii safe
We act on reports and on what we see. Depending on what happened we may: remove a message or a review; remove someone from a game (paid places are refunded in full); correct account details that are wrong; send a warning, which arrives as a notification in the app; suspend an account for a set time or until we lift it, during which it cannot sign in; or close an account permanently and stop its email address being used again. These decisions are made by a person, not automatically. We will tell you why unless doing so could put somebody at risk or break the law. If you think we got it wrong, write to support@rallii.net and a person will look at it again.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. It is blocked only while something is still live: a paid place in a game that has not happened, a game you host that has not happened, or money still on its way to you. Most accounts are then deleted completely. If money has ever passed through your account, the payment records have to be kept for six years, as UK tax law requires — so instead we delete everything else (your profile details, messages, reviews and the rest) and keep only those records, under the name “Deleted player”. If you do not use Rallii for 12 months we email you, and a month later delete your account in the same way — never while it is holding money. We may close an account that breaks these terms.
Changes to Rallii and to these terms
We may change or stop features, and Rallii may sometimes be unavailable. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account; carrying on using Rallii means you accept the new terms.
Liability
We are not responsible for games or for what players or hosts do — including injury, loss or damage at or on the way to a game — except where the law says we must be. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. Otherwise our total liability to you is limited to the greater of £100 and the booking fees you paid Rallii in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Complaints and the law
If you have a complaint, write to support@rallii.net; we aim to reply within 14 days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute — but if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim there.
Community conditions
Last updated 25 September 2026
Rallii only works if people turn up and behave decently. These conditions are part of the terms of use and apply everywhere on Rallii — in games, in chats and on the pitch.
Turn up, or leave early
Joining a game means somebody else did not get that place. If your plans change, leave the game as soon as you know so the place goes back to someone who can use it. Hosts mark who turned up, and it shows on your profile.
Play to the level advertised
If a game is marked Beginner, play like it. Match the level on the listing and be honest about your own.
No harassment, abuse, or discrimination
No abuse, threats, bullying or discrimination — because of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, or anything else — on the pitch, in game chats or in private messages. Serious abuse leads straight to suspension or removal, without a warning first.
Keep people safe
No dangerous play, no playing while drunk or high, and no ignoring an injury. If someone is hurt, stop the game. If anyone is in danger, call 999 first and tell us afterwards.
Under-18s
Players aged 16 and 17 can use Rallii. Adults and under-18s do not get a private channel to each other: any conversation with a younger player happens in the game chat, where other people can see it. Asking a young player to move a conversation somewhere private, to meet away from a game, or for photos or personal details is not allowed and should be reported straight away.
Chats are for the game
Game chats are for sorting out kit, timing and teams. No advertising, spam, links to scams, or contacting people who have not asked to hear from you.
Communities and clubs
Sport communities are for finding games and players: posts about playing, looking-for-a-game posts, polls and games. No selling, no advertising, no phone numbers or email addresses in posts, and no links until your account is a day old. There are no private messages from a community — if you want to play with someone, post a game or join theirs. Posts reported by two different people are hidden until we look at them. We can slow a busy community down, and stop someone posting in one community or in all of them.
Photos
Adults can add photos to a game they played in, for a week afterwards, and only when everyone in the game is 18 or over. Only people who played in that game can see them. Only add photos of the game, never of anyone who asked not to be photographed, and nothing embarrassing or sexual. A photo that is reported is hidden straight away.
Hosts
If you host, run the game you advertised, at the time and place you gave, at the price you set. Cancel as early as you can if you have to. Do not use age or men/women-only restrictions to exclude people unfairly, and do not ask players to pay you outside the app for a game listed as paid in the app.
Reporting and blocking
Report a player or a game from their profile or the game screen. Reports about safety, abuse or harassment are flagged to us as urgent; we read every report, though we cannot promise how quickly. You can also email safety@rallii.net. Blocking someone hides their games from you, stops either of you starting a private conversation, and stops them joining games you host. Somebody already in one of your games stays in it — blocking is about what happens next.
What happens if you break these conditions
Depending on how serious it is: a warning in the app, removal from a game, removal of what you posted, a suspension, or closing your account for good. The terms of use explain how this works and how to ask us to look again.
Privacy policy
Last updated 25 September 2026
What Rallii collects, why, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect what running games needs, we do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who is responsible for your data
Rallii is run by Kanav S., a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us about your data at privacy@rallii.net. Postal address: 86 High Street, Cradley Heath, B64 5HA. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under number ZC256386.
What we collect
Account: your email address, first and last name, date of birth, and gender. Profile: your sports and levels, bio, the general area you play in, and your settings. Activity: the games you host, join or ask to join; attendance marks, check-ins and “I’m here” taps; messages in game chats and private conversations; reviews and ratings you give and receive; reports you make and reports about you; people you block; feedback you send; and when you last used the app. Payments: the amount, our fee, the game it was for, whether it succeeded or was refunded, any chargeback, and reference numbers from Stripe; for hosts, the ID of your Stripe account and whether it can take payments. Social: the sport communities and clubs you join and what you post in them, poll votes, who you follow and who follows you, your crews, ladder and tournament entries and results, and whether somebody invited you (and who you invited). After a game: the ratings you give the game and the host, the level votes and player-of-the-match votes you give, and badges you earn. Photos: photos you add to a game. Safety: any warnings, suspensions or other action we have taken on your account, and why. Device: a notification token if you turn notifications on. We do not collect phone numbers or passwords, and we do not keep your contacts (see Contacts below).
Why we use it, and our legal basis
To run your account and the games you join or host, take payments and give refunds — because it is needed for our contract with you. To keep Rallii safe and honest — the under-16 check, the rule on private messages between adults and under-18s, reports, moderation, and dealing with fraud and chargebacks — because we have a legitimate interest in protecting players, and legal duties under the Online Safety Act 2023. To keep payment and tax records — because the law requires it. To send you notifications — because you chose to turn them on, and you can turn them off at any time. To show you friends’ activity, leaderboards, monthly recaps, challenges and suggestions of games and players, and to send the weekly digest and occasional reminders — our legitimate interest in helping you find games; each has a switch in Settings. To improve the app using feedback you send — our legitimate interest. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or build a profile of you for marketing.
Decisions made automatically
Two decisions are made by the app on its own. First, an account whose date of birth makes it under 16 is refused. Second, where players say a paid game did not happen, Rallii may decide automatically whether to refund them or pay the host, based on how many players complained, whether there is a record of the game taking place, and the host’s recent record. Some smaller things are also automatic: your level in a sport moves a little based on how the players you played with voted; host badges (Rising, Trusted, Super host) come from how many games someone has hosted, their rating and how often they cancel; a community post is hidden once two different people report it, and a photo as soon as one person does; and posts with contact details, or links from brand-new accounts, are refused. You can ask a person to review any of these by writing to payments@rallii.net (for refunds) or support@rallii.net.
What other players can see
Anyone signed in can see your display name (first name and the initial of your surname), age, bio, sports and levels, the general area you play in, attendance score, games played, streak, star rating and reviews, whether you are verified, and when you joined. Your full surname is shown only to people you have played with. Everyone in a game sees who else is in it and what is said in its chat, and the host sees the attendance marks. Nobody else sees your email address, date of birth, exact location or payment details. Your gender is not shown on your profile; it is used so that men-only and women-only games work. Posts in a sport community show your first name to anyone signed in to Rallii who opens that community; club posts only to the club’s members. People you follow each other with (friends) see when you join or play a game, unless you turn off “Share my activity” in Privacy. If you are 18 or over, your first name and number of games can appear on local leaderboards unless you turn off “Show me on leaderboards” in Privacy; under-18s never appear on them. Ladder standings and tournament brackets show players’ first names to the people taking part.
Location
If you allow it, the app uses your phone’s location to centre the map and to find games near you. To do that, each search sends an approximate area — a box a few miles across around you — to our server. If “New games nearby” is on in your notification settings, or you tell us you are up for a game, we also save a rough area — your position rounded to about a kilometre — so we can tell you about games and players near you — the same applies if the weekly digest, suggestions or streak reminders are on; it is replaced each time, never kept as a history, and deleted when you turn “New games nearby” off (an “up for a game” note lasts seven days). We never show that area to anyone: other players only ever see a count, such as “4 nearby”. We do not keep a history of where you have been or track you in the background. Our hosting provider may keep technical logs of requests, including that search area, for a short time for security and fault-finding. When you join a sport community, we use your location at that moment to pick the nearest city or region; only that area is stored. You can refuse location and still browse; distances are then measured from a default point.
Messages
Game chats are group conversations between people who may not know each other. They are kept so players can catch up, and deleted six months after the game. We can read a game chat, and remove messages that break the rules — it is how we deal with a report. Private one-to-one conversations can be read only by the two people in them, enforced by the database, unless one of them reports it: then we can read the part around what was reported. Private conversations are never opened between an adult and a player under 18. Clearing a chat only hides it for you. Sport community and club chats are group chats too: anyone signed in can read a community, only members can read a club, we can read both and remove posts that break the rules, and they are deleted a year after they were posted. There are no private messages from a community or a club.
Photos
You can add photos to a game you played in for a week afterwards, but only if you are 18 or over and so is everyone in that game. They are stored privately and only the people who played in that game can see them (not anyone you have blocked, or who has blocked you). Photos are shrunk on your phone before upload and the location data a camera stores in a photo is removed. You can delete your photos at any time from the game. We delete them a year after the game, 30 days after one is hidden because of a report, or when your account is deleted.
Contacts
If you choose “Find friends from contacts” (adults only), your phone asks your permission, then turns each email address in your contacts into a one-way code (a SHA-256 hash) on the phone. Only those codes are sent to us; we compare them with players’ email addresses in the same form and show you which adult players you already know. We do not keep the codes, your contacts or the results, and we never message anyone in your contacts. You can do this up to five times a day.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of providers who handle data on our behalf and only on our instructions: Supabase (our database and sign-in; data stored in London), Stripe (payments, refunds, and host identity checks and payouts — Stripe is also responsible in its own right for the checks it must carry out by law), Expo (delivering push notifications), Google Workspace (our email, and sending your sign-in codes), Netlify (hosting our website), komoot’s Photon service and, if we switch it on, Google Places (turning what you type into a venue and address when you post a game — they receive the search text and your approximate area, rounded to about a kilometre) and, where we email you about your account, our email delivery provider. Apple provides the App Store. Some of these companies are based in the United States; where your data leaves the UK, it is protected by the UK’s adequacy regulations for the US (the UK–US data bridge) or by the ICO’s approved transfer agreements. We may also share information with the police or other authorities where the law requires it, or where it is needed to protect someone from serious harm.
How long we keep things
Game chats: six months after the game. Community and club chats, and friends’ activity: one year. Photos: a year after the game at most (see Photos). Notifications: 90 days once read, six months at most. Your account and everything in it: until you delete it, or until 12 months without using Rallii — we email you a month before and never delete an account holding money. When an account is deleted, everything goes, except that if money ever passed through it, the payment records are kept for six years because UK tax law requires it, attached only to the name “Deleted player”. Records of action we took against an account (the name, part of the email address and the reason) are kept after it is gone so repeat abuse can be recognised, and a banned email address is stored only as a one-way fingerprint that cannot be turned back into the address. Stripe keeps its own records under its own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can see and correct most of your details in Settings; to change your name or date of birth, which are locked after sign-up, write to support@rallii.net. Settings › Your data (also linked from Privacy) downloads a copy of your data as a file you can keep or take elsewhere. You can delete your account from Settings. You can also ask us to restrict or stop using your data, object to how we use it, or send you a fuller copy of what we hold, by writing to privacy@rallii.net; we reply within one month. You can turn notifications and location off in your phone’s settings at any time. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113 — but please tell us first so we can put it right.
Young people
Rallii is for people aged 16 and over. Players aged 16 and 17 cannot host games and cannot have private conversations with adults. They also cannot join clubs or ladders, add or appear in game photos, use contact matching or appear on leaderboards, and they can only follow, and be followed by, other under-18s. If we find an account belongs to someone under 16, we delete it.
Keeping it secure
Data is encrypted in transit, access to it is limited to the people who run Rallii, and the database itself enforces who can read what. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that puts you at risk, we will tell you and the ICO as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
